Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using www.pspbl.org and any PSPBL services, you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. If you do not agree, do not use our platform.

The Police Society for Problem-Based Learning (PSPBL) is a for-profit LLC providing online professional development for police trainers, Police Training Officers (PTOs), and law enforcement training professionals. PSPBL is not a government agency and does not issue state or provincial certifications unless explicitly stated.

  1. Free Membership
    1. Free membership provides access to designated introductory courses. Free members do not receive certificates or credentials.
  2. Paid Membership
    1. Paid membership tiers provide access to additional courses, downloadable resources, certificates, and other benefits as described on our Membership page. Paid membership is billed annually and renews automatically unless cancelled.
  3. Account Responsibility
    1. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials. You may not share your account with others. PSPBL reserves the right to terminate accounts found to be shared or misused.
  • All prices are in USD unless otherwise stated
  • Payment is processed securely through our payment processor
  • Annual memberships are non-refundable after 14 days from purchase
  • If you experience a technical issue preventing access, contact us within 30 days for resolution
  • PSPBL reserves the right to change pricing with 30 days notice to existing members

All content on the PSPBL platform — including course materials, videos, PDFs, scenarios, assessments, and written content — is the intellectual property of PSPBL or its licensed contributors.

You may not reproduce, distribute, modify, or resell any PSPBL content without express written permission. Personal use for professional development within your agency is permitted.

You agree not to:

  • Share your login credentials or provide unauthorized access to platform content
  • Copy, reproduce, or distribute course materials commercially
  • Use the platform for any unlawful purpose
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the platform

Submit false or misleading information during registration

Certificates of completion are issued to paid members who complete designated courses and meet assessment requirements. PSPBL certificates reflect professional development participation and do not constitute state, provincial, or federal law enforcement certification

PSPBL course content is provided for professional development and educational purposes. Content reflects evidence-based training methodologies but does not constitute legal advice, use-of-force guidance, or compliance with any specific agency’s policies.

PSPBL makes no warranty that its content meets the requirements of any specific jurisdiction, accreditation body, or agency policy.

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, PSPBL shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of or inability to use the platform. PSPBL’s total liability shall not exceed the amount paid by you in the 12 months preceding the claim.

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the applicable jurisdiction where PSPBL is registered. Disputes shall be resolved through good-faith negotiation before any formal legal proceedings.

PSPBL reserves the right to update these Terms at any time. Registered members will be notified of material changes by email. Continued use of the platform after changes constitutes acceptance.
